The cameras CNH GLOBAL are offering are very technically advanced and all the ANRP, colour overview, GPS module, synchronization and encryption is done in the camera. There is no need for road-side PC or expensive communication systems that are required to transport video to a server for processing. The camera body has a second integrated colour overview camera for the purposes of providing a clear legible colour overview image of the vehicle and its registration number. The colour overview image is captured at the point when the image from the infra-red camera was sent to the number plate recognition engine to be operated on. Because the same controller manages both cameras, there is near perfect synchronization between the colour overview camera and the IR camera. The infra-red and the colour overview image are combined in one encrypted evidentiary record that the camera will send to a server and the server will export to the back office contravention system.
